Tempered engravings premium steel, laser marking V2A and V4A

In the field of industrial production, laser engraving is an established technology for fast, flexible, efficient, and lasting marking of premium steel components. Due to its wavelength, a Nd:YAG laser system is the perfect solution for processing all kinds of premium steel alloys (e.g. V2A, V4A, or 1.4404).
 
Thanks to the carbonization effect, we get a visually appealing, contrasty black coloration of tempered engravings. This permanent color change is abrasion-resistant and is resistant to nearly all media.
 
Besides tempered engravings, we also do quick and precise deep engraving of premium steel alloys. In contrast to the carbonization effect, here, the material is removed layer by layer.

These tempered engravings can be used to mark glass bead blasted surgical instruments, just to give one example. Tempered engravings come with the advantage that the marking process is very gentle to the material and burrless, which is important to maintain the product’s hygienic standards.
